Actually, Wilson Pickett only recorded once at Stax, producing among other things, "In the Midnight Hour". After that Atlantic (always his record label at this time), moved him to Muscle Shoals to work with the Swamp Rats -- as in this song. That being said, the horn section was mostly the Memphis Horns at both places. And yes, he was amazing -- especially live!
