About 1956/7 I was in the British Army and stationed in York. The father of an army friend owned a cinema in York which was sometimes used for concerts. When Stan Kenton Orchestra was booked to appear, my friend obtained tickets for me and others - for both performances. A wonderful experience and I have kick myself for nor saving the programme. My friend later became famous as John Barry, composer of many movie scores.
