Fools and dimwits
Follow those who need their pulpits
But you see, dear, I’m nobody’s fool
I belong to you
So you and me should
Take a piece of the pie ‘cause it’s good
And we’ll feast and rule from up above
Like a King and Queen in love
If you found me would you stay
Or would you go?
Because everything I do or say
Is to let you know
Yeah, to let you know that I try
And I wish that you could see
That there’s no one else for me
Who brings out all the sleeping joy
That’s inside me
If I stayed here
There would be so much that I’d fear
Like the ones who think in clouds of greed
And who fight for rules
I don’t need
All the big highs
And the lows which darken the skies
They will melt into a pot of gold
‘Til there’s nothing left we can hold
We should be a «you and me»
Spending others' time like royalty
All the mountains, and the trees
Watch them crumble at your knee
But if you go then here’s a piece of me:
To do what you want, dear, with it
So do what you want, dear, with it…
All the big highs
And the lows which darken the skies
They will melt into a pot of gold
‘Til there’s nothing left we can hold
So you and me should
Take a piece of the pie ‘cause it’s good
And we’ll feast and rule from up above
Like a King and Queen in love
