The difference between these legends and the Sherbet who were regarded as the no 1 Aussie band of their era was the songwriting. Skyhooks shit all over them in that regard . Skyhooks were the premier band without doubt.

"Living in 70s" mentioned Melbourne suburbs rather than New York or London place names."Toorak Playboy" (I lived in Toorak in the late 70s) "Lygon Street Limbo" (Carlton) and "Balwyn Calling" really connected to Melbourne teenagers and was one of the reasons why the Skyhooks were ABSOLUTELY HUGE in Melbourne then."Living..." is till a good album today!I was at a gig at the Lomond Hotel, Brunswick, recently, when a band played a cover version of "Balwyn Calling" and the Baby Boomers in the audience all danced and sang along!
