Several years ago I used to have a compilation album called "Sidney Bechet and Friends". There was a version of Black Stick which Sidney Bechet played with Michel Attenoux and his Orchestra and it sounded almost identical to this one except that there was an amazing extended drumming bit near the end which got hotter and hotter to an tremendous finale. I wish I could find that version on the internet now.
