Every time I hear this jewel, my mind flashes back to Phillies greatest D. J. Georgy Woods, " The guy with the goods". When he introduced a new tune, and that tune , as he would say made his liver quiver , and his bladder splatter , he would ring this cowbell, into the radio. If it really, really moved him , he would play that record 3,4 times or more. He controlled live A.M. radio . I mean he played that tune 3,4 times, in a row. He was truly unique.His show has made the late fifties a beautiful memory, for me. RIP George, the " Boss with the hot sauce. By the way he played Shirley Goodwin, and Leonard Lee , over and over again, shouting "COME ON SHIRLEY COME ON LEE BABY", ringing that cowbell, while he was grooving.

Without a doubt....The greatest sax man ever playing here...Lee Allen.

I saw SHIRLEY & LEE IN SAN FRANCISCO 1956 at The Paramount Theater...They were great. A+

Maybe the best duo to come out of NOLA.
