Saw Rocky a few years ago at the Granada Theater in Dallas. Cam King headed up the band put together with Austin rhythm section. The band and presentation were real tight, allowing Rocky to cut loose. This was all in support of a documentary about Rokys career and private life. Many kids were in attendance, hoping to be there if the resurgence really took off. It did not, but the night was special. The crowd was moved, the dancing intense and Roky was energized. He literally gave his life to his music. I’m thankful I got to see him again about a year later. Cam wasn’t there which did not help the backing effort, but it was still a great show. Always make the effort to support live music, whether it’s the philharmonic, or a jug band. Enrich yourself.
