I was born in the decade of the nineties, I heard the current music and I realize I prefer the old music and the more old I like, I see the music videos of this decade and very offensive game and rhythms do not find all pleasant.greetings from Mexico

Eddie Cantor did not write this song for Ida. It came out before Eddie got a hold of it. It was introduced by a minstrel man named Eddie Leonard. Cantor later adopted the song and sang to his wife who happened to be named Ida and it has since become more or less identified with Cantor thru movies, radio and tv., but it was written by Eddie Leonard and Eddie Munson in 1903.
