Hearken to the winds which blow o’er the hills of Jerusalem
They carry on their endless breath the sigh of th‘ unbroken son of man
And I have heard within that groan the only God of Abraham
And felt it fade above the crown of one Mary Magdalene
Hearken to the winds serene which waft o’er Jerusalem
Hearken to the winds redeem and caress the New Jerusalem
We clomb the skull adorned with (t)horns to plant the tree of life anew
And thirsty would it imbibe the blood, the tears and sweat in labour spilt
To birthe and to re-generate and live again, damp with such dew
Thus could peace and love bloom on the barren rocks of sin and guilt

Hear, o, hear the voice unseen which calls out to Jerusalem
Hearken to the winds careen and caress the walls
From high upon the hill I gazed and smiled and breath’d, my mind serene
As soil and water were probed, deemed clean, grateful pride stung in my heart
I had borne, was borne anon, and who had seemed, I, too had seen
And in this great and glorious whole a mere mortal I had played a part

Partake of this spark-less hour which fills the halls of Jerusalem
Partake of this darkness lour which thrills the walls of Jerusalem
