Dead monuments lie within us
Shadows cast reminiscence upon autumn’s shoulder
The earth soaks retribution
Halos glow vertical light
Graceful and sightless
In deafening silence one’s hope died
The image altered for winter’s blindness
Unto the earth scorn
I revel in ashes of the sun
Upon its wings I sight my burden
The view is yet undone
And winter came like a portrait in white
To honor the earth
Our eternal grave
