I remember taping this too back in 95....was it really so long ago...?! lol. top band, cruelly overlooked when you consider oasis have been knocking out the same shit for fifteen years and are hailed as some kind of genius...oh well....theres no justice sometimes!

Time has been very kind to this band like many have mentioned I still too listen to their two albums .The Smile is an incredible stadium anthem that never was, scrap that , Marion were the great stadium band that never was As years gone by you can see how at odds they were in regards to being termed “ britpop “ they different in ambition , scope etcTo me they could have been part of the classic British band lineage would never equate them with Sleeper or echobelly I have soft spot for Menswear lol but their music was unashamedly of the moment frivolous where Marion had that depthHarding whether in a chippy or drinking a shandy is a rock star regardless of units shifted I don’t know if part of their legacy , narrative is that they squandered their talent burning fast and in a way has worked leaving it to those old records to do the talking .God I am forty and remember watching this at fifteen
