Rest in peace, Jimmy Johnson. I hope you are up there with Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, Billy, JoJo, Allen, Leon, Ed, Bob and all the others who fell out of the Skynyrd tree. I hope the reunion has been fun. Since Ronnie has been hanging out at 3614 Jackson Highway since 1977, maybe all of you can get in on scaring tourists in the studio!

What a great hit you in the gut song with top notch lyrics like nobody could write like the greatest front man ever RVZ and the musicianship is just so damn good as usual, listening to this tune and Coming Home just do it for me everytime...long live the greatest band ever! Skynyrd forever!!

I, in all honesty don’t care for this version of I never dreamed. Even though this is the original version by its original band, I just feel like it’s too upbeat for the lyrics of this song. I heard Zakk Wylde / Black Label Society’s version beforehand and just the sound of everything works well with it. Just the vibe of despair and regret with the lyrics and vocals in BLS’s version gives it the proper sound and feeling for what the words really mean.
