Big influence on uk tenor players Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes. I understood he died living in a disused train station building. Very sad tragic end, a great man.

This piece always brings me to tears.....it is sorrow somehow mixed with a determined hopefulness. We are so blessed to have had Hank with us----and still with us in his recorded legacy.(Not to mention Lee,and all the other many incredible musical spirits that have passed through)
