Oh Alberta, don’t you cry, listen to me, it’ll be alright, uh huh oh yeah
Don’t hate Saskatchewan, never meant no harm to anyone
Manitoba, don’t you know you’re out where you won’t make it home
Back to Ontario
Up in the Yukon, I hit that bong, and then I turned up the stereo
Thought about Ontario
P.E.I, Potato
P.E.I, Potato
Down In Newfoundland, started a band and we played late into the night
Drank 'till sunlight
Son, go get it done on the right side
Ontario, that’s where I’m going, and I’ll sing it
Son, go get it done on the right side
Ontario, that’s where I’m from, and I’ll sing it
Oh Alberta, don’t you cry, listen to me, it’ll be alright, uh huh oh yeah
Don’t hate Saskatchewan, never meant no harm to anyone
North Dakota, don’t you that you don’t belong in this song
Where did we go wrong?
They have 4 albums, an EP, and some songs not on their full length albums. I would recommend listening to other songs that did not have a large budget for an official music video. Much less Canadiana, and much closer to that "death country" (a ridiculous sub genre, but I love the idea) sound they have been known to be included as. It may change your opinion! :)
well actually it is a fact that this group writes songs with pointless canadian references to make money off the government and to get on the radio. all just because its "canadian" content. it would be irresponsible to simply avoid. they make the crappiest "canadian content" ever and as a canadian i need to tell everyone why its a sham.
classic case of someone writing things on the interwebs just to see their own writing. use a journal next time, then you wont risk looking like a babbling idiot in front of these fine people.
