Look in my eyes and you will satisfy yourself
So many lives
Look at the picture of the sanctifying light
So many words to justify
How long? How long can this go on? How long?
It’s heavy metal fatigue
Maybe the wind will dry your endless tears away
It’s only the strong that can survive
Show me a river that is flowing to the sea
If you believe, then so do I
Hear me calling, I am falling, throw the line
Hold me closer, so much closer, and I’ll unwind

Yes, they are 2nds, not 9ths. When I played guitar on this years ago, I wrote a patch on my digital effect unit for 2nds, and named the patch demon gargoyles ....Ha! A "9th" would imply an octave and a 2nd. A "2nd" is only one step, and a much tighter tension harmonically. RIP Allan, you brought great music and thought to the world.....
Just spent an hour learning the solo at half speed...and then listened to it at normal speed again and wanted to cry. The speed of which his ideas flow is baffling and his rhythmic phrasing is out of this world. I am mad at the world for not making me aware of this man until he died but at least now I can spend the rest of my life celebrating him and helplessly chasing his shadow at the same time. Truly one of the greatest that ever walked among us.
