Yes he was into his music and emotional. But such things were also the death of him, though he did not intend. You see even though he was a South African White, he missed England ever so much because the Noble Band he sang for spent most of its tine in the US where it was the most popular. So in 1940 he left for England solo just in time for the Blitz. A freak county town bombing hit his home. The force of the explosion sucked all the air out of his room. The vacuum it caused collapsed his lungs and he suffocated to death. When found dead, he had not a scratch on him. I guess God said it was his time to go. Too bad for all of us who love him and his music.
